Minerals are the best thing to reach the beauty industry to date. They are the only type of makeup that is pure enough to sleep in without waking up in the morning with skin like the Sahara. They are made mostly from the minerals Zinc and Calcium two of the best minerals for the skin, they also provide a natural barrier to the sun, keeping wrinkles at bay. Only makeup gentle and pure enough for eczema skin.
MAC Mineralise skinfinish natural pressed powder
Hint is in the name honey. This is a fantastic pressed foundation powder. It gives a luminous natural mineral veil providing sheer light coverage. Three words I usually don’t like in a foundation. But this changed my mind. It’s sheer and light but it blurs all flaws and gives skin a velvety luminous finish, Your skin but better. This, converted me to the natural look- no mean feat I can tell you!
MAC Mineralise foundation loose
Same ground minerals as skinfinish but in a loose powder. This just won an ELLE magazine beauty award for best mineral powder. Provides medium buildable coverage, less natural looking than skinfinish but still has the luminosity and imperfection blurring going on. A little goes a long way with this so blend first before you dip into the pot for more. Oddly, I got this in the same shade as skinfinish that was matched to me, but it looked darker. So ask the assistant to match you.
Extra care needed when opening, as air builds up inside the pot and tones of it comes out as dust when opened! And if little small pieces of the dust do land on your clothes, DONT try brush them away, they just turn into giant streaks! So put this on before you get dressed to avoid last minute wardrobe disasters.
MAC mineralise satinfinish spf 15 foundation
Made with mineral oil mixed with mineral pigment, this is one for die hard liquid fans and those of us with a dry skin type. Unlike powder it wont cake into dry patches and gives full coverage. I like that they added an extra bit of spf even though the mineral pigments protect skin to begin with, because there’s no such thing as too much spf.
Gives brilliant luminous coverage and a little goes a long way. I got so many compliments on my makeup when I wore this ranging from Have you been away? To so, what’s his name? Mark of a good foundation in my opinion .
Until next time….
